Verdermag Global Commissioned in Crude Oil Sampling

Date: 19-08-2009

Specialist pumping solutions supplier, Verdermag Global announces the successful installation of its HC40-25-200 model from its high pressure range of pumps into a crude oil sampling system commissioned for BP in the Skarv and Idun fields of Norway.

The installation is the result of a six month collaborative working relationship with Doedijns Controls, the Dutch supplier of systems and services for the oil and gas industry to engineer the Verdermag Global systems into their tailormade crude oil sampling system. One of the few new field developments on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Skarv and Idun represent 8 million cubic metres of oil and condensate 48.3 billion cubic metres of rich gas.

Anthony Beckwith, Verdermag Global Product Manager comments: “The Verdermag Global solution was specified by the client for combination of reasons. Coupled with value for money and better lead time compared with other suppliers, its Duplex stainless steel casing is recognsied for its superior performance in corrosion resistant applications. The Global range of pumps can be used for a wide range of applications. The range covers flow rates from 1-70 m3/hr with a temperature range of -40 to 200 degrees centigrade and a operating pressure of 16 to 200 bar. These parameters can be extended even further if requested as Verder specialise in customising the Global range to suit specific customer needs. We recognise that all our customers are responsible for industrial processes, which is why our starting point is “Your process and your specific needs”. The Skarv and Idun fields project is a further example of us helping to achieve just this.”
